Pick Your Therapy! Non-Invasive Recovery Technologies

At U Matter we employ the latest technologies that have been successful for improved performance and for a host of other ailments such as depression, anxiety, poor memory, chronic pain, digestive and gastrointestinal conditions, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

The Lymphatic Drainage Suit is an FDA-cleared compression therapy device used by NFL and NBA athletes for recovery post workout, injury recovery, and joint and muscle pain. This treatment is also used to tighten, smooth, and improve skin tone, activate the lymphatic system to help effectively push out toxins, and increase circulation.

  • Accelerate surgery recovery
  • Reduce swelling
  • Reduce fluid retention
  •  Reduce headaches
  • Resolve and prevent lymph gland blockages

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy

Pain and discomfort are simply signs of cellular imbalance and disease. When the magnetic field of a cell is flowing in the proper manner, it can effectively eliminate toxins and absorb water and nutrients for natural function and repair.

When the electrical charge of a cell is impaired, the result is reduced nutrient flow, increased waste accumulation, and eventually the complete degeneration of the cell. This progressively attacks the health of the whole body, resulting in symptoms of pain and discomfort.

The application of healing magnetic fields with Pulse Therapy can support healthy circulation of nutrients and allow the body to rejuvenate as it should. Pulse Therapy is proven to help support:

  • Reduction of pain and reduce inflammation
  • Tissue healing & strengthening of bones
  • Reduction of stress & increase relaxation
  • Relief of injury and fatigue
  • Neurotransmitter balance
  • Deeper, more restorative state of sleep

Photobiomodulation Therapy

Photobiomodulation is otherwise known as light therapy.

Light therapy involves the use of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to deliver a specific wavelength of light that can be absorbed by cells in the body. The LED type determines the wavelength of light and can be tuned to a particular tissue or organ.

Light therapy is proven to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and increase cellular energy, these factors benefit both the human body and mind. Light therapy is a non-invasive way to get the benefits of the sun without negative side effects.

Photobiomodulation is defined as the use of light energy to trigger photochemical changes within cellular structures (mitochondria) that are receptive to red and near-infrared (NIR) light. The mitochondria produce cellular energy by producing a molecule called adenosine triphosphate (ATP). The energy from ATP enables us to carry out all physiological activities and provides energy to the brain cells. In addition, application of light energy leads to greater blood flow to the brain – allowing delivery of nutrients and removal of waste products.

This is a new way of ‘charging’ the brain and now research is starting to show significant benefit of this therapy for brain health.

Improved Cognitive Function:

One of the primary benefits of tPBM is improved cognitive function. Several studies have found that tPBM can enhance learning and memory in healthy individuals. The mechanism behind these cognitive benefits is thought to be related to increased blood flow and oxygenation in the brain. tPBM stimulates the mitochondria in brain cells, which produces more ATP, the energy currency of the cell. This increased energy production leads to improved cellular function and enhanced cognitive performance.

Reduced Inflammation:

Inflammation is a natural response of the immune system to injury or infection, but chronic inflammation can contribute to a range of health problems, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer's disease. tPBM has been shown to reduce inflammation in the brain and other tissues. The mechanism behind these anti-inflammatory effects is thought to be related to the production of nitric oxide. tPBM stimulates the production of nitric oxide in the cells, which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects.

Enhanced Mood:

tPBM has also been shown to enhance mood in healthy individuals. The mechanism behind these mood-enhancing effects is thought to be related to increased production of serotonin and dopamine, two neurotransmitters that are involved in mood regulation. tPBM stimulates the production of these neurotransmitters in the brain, leading to enhanced mood and reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Improve Sleep:

tPBM may also enhance sleep quality and duration in individuals with sleep disorders or those who just want to work on improving sleep. One of the proposed mechanisms for PBM's effect on circadian rhythm is its ability to stimulate the production of melatonin, a hormone that plays a crucial role in regulating the sleep-wake cycle. Melatonin is produced in the pineal gland in response to darkness and is suppressed by light exposure.

Another proposed mechanism is PBM's ability to activate specific receptors in the eye that are involved in regulating circadian rhythm. In particular, the melanopsin-containing ganglion cells in the retina are sensitive to light and play a critical role in regulating the circadian rhythm. By stimulating these receptors, PBM may help to reset the circadian rhythm and improve sleep quality.

Ozone Sauna Therapy

The combination of sauna and ozone gas. During an ozone sauna you sit in a sauna box which induces sweating and into which ozone is introduced at the same time. It’s important that the sauna allows for the head to stick out to prevent you from inhaling the ozone gas.

It is assumed that when the wet and warm skin is exposed to ozone gas beneficial peroxides and lipid oxidation by-products are created which have an anti-inflammatory and immune boosting effects.

Observational data appears to show that ozone sauna therapy can have profound systemic therapeutic effects.

  • Dramatically increase oxygenation of the tissues and cells
  • Purge the body of accumulated toxins such as pesticides, PCBs, drug residues, and acidic wastes
  • Burn 400-600 calories per session
  • Stimulate the Immune System
  • Increase the White Blood Cell count
  • Increase circulation, oxygen and nutrient delivery within the body
  • Increase the distensibility of the Red Blood Cell so that it can squeeze through your tiny blood vessels into tissues
  • Boost cellular mediated immunity (part of the immune system)
  • Increase 2,3-DPG: Responsible for the blood’s ability to release oxygen in your tissues
  • Increase tumor necrosis factor by up to 500 times
  • Produce Interleukin II, Gamma interferon (anti-cancer substances)

Ozone Sauna Therapy is great way to detox as it increases the cleansing capacity of the skin via stimulation of the sweat glands. It also increases blood circulation in the body which promotes healthy skin. The steam helps open the pores so that Ozone can enter the body and help the lymphatic system detox.

The elimination of toxins accumulated in the lymphatic system relieves the liver from the difficult task of processing them. Through the centuries, men and women have used steam to purify the skin, soothe sore muscles, boost circulation and to simply relax. The combined action of moist heat and ozone cleanse the lymphatic system, which carries 90% of the body’s fluids. Ozone also brings oxygen to the tissues for enhanced health and vitality. Ozone Sauna Therapy is a natural, effective way to promote overall health and wellness.
