DETOX AND RELIEF HYDRO THERAPIES

At U Matter we utilize a variety of hydro therapies to help the detoxification process that are proven to be successful. Most of the benefits may be similar but combining these into your daily routine along with our other therapies, will speed up your detox process significantly.

Sauna

Sauna Therapy and detoxification: how does it work? Saunas have long been associated with detoxification. Be it food, substance use, environment, or lifestyle habits, we’re exposed to toxins in a lot of different ways. However, our bodies have the natural capability to process and subsequently get rid of these toxins. And since sweating is one of the ways your body releases these toxins, sauna bathing comes in handy.

A sauna session simplifies and speeds up the detox process, because of its exceptionally hot ambiance that makes you sweat profusely. So much so that you sweat like you would during a heavy workout or just about any extensive physical activity.

Remember, a sauna does help detox, but it's the sweat that does all the magic.

What kinds of toxins can a sauna remove?

A habit of regularly spending 20-30 minutes in the sauna can help you remove a lot of toxins, including the most harmful ones. Here are some common toxins can your body can flush out during sauna sessions:

  • Toxins from alcohol, drugs, and nicotine.
  • Heavy metals such as mercury, lead, arsenic, etc.
  • Dangerous chemicals like pesticides and mycotoxins found in food and water, BPA found in plastic bottles and cutlery, etc.
  • Bacteria, viruses, and environmental pollution.

Ionic Foot Bath

The primary benefit of an ionic detox foot bath is that it enhances the body’s own natural detoxification abilities. This allows the body to remove heavy metals and other toxic elements from the body more efficiently.

Assisting the body’s natural detoxification process results in:

  • A stronger immune system
  • A reduction in chronic pain and inflammation
  • Prevention of chronic disease
  • Relief from the symptoms of chronic illness
  • Potential weight loss
  • Increased energy and focus
  • Enhanced lymphatic drainage
  • Better skin health
  • Fewer headaches and migraines
  • Improved circulation and heart health
  • An overall feeling of relaxation and improved mood
  • Stress relief
  • Improved digestion and nutrient absorption

Detox Mineral Baths

Our Mineral baths use unique clays, minerals and oils that contain the ability to produce an “electrical charge” when hydrated. Upon contact with fluid its electrical components change, carrying a strong negative charge which bonds to the positive charge in many toxins. When it comes in contact with a toxin, chemical, or heavy metal, this mixture will absorb the toxin and release, in turn, its minerals for the body to use. It also helps get oxygen to cells as it pulls excess hydrogen and allows the cells to replace it with oxygen instead.

Our proprietary mineral baths are commonly used for:

  • digestive disturbances like acid reflux, constipation, bloating, gas, etc. (Kaolin clay has been a common ingredient in medicines like Maalox and Rolaids for years.)
  • helping with skin and allergy issues
  • providing minerals for the body
  • recovering from vomiting and diarrhea
  • detoxification
  • oral health preparations
  • externally for all types of skin problems and to speed healing

Cold Plunge Therapy

The physical benefits of cold plunging are abundant but the most crucial, we feel, is the rush of endorphins and natural spike in dopamine. Most individuals resort to using substances for these same effects which actually, overtime, makes it hard for the body to produce them on its own.

Experts say cold water immersion can:

  • decrease inflammation
  • offer a huge rush of endorphins,
  • spike dopamine
  • improve sleep and mood
  • reduce stress
  • help remedy aches and pains
  • boost injury recovery
  • reduce swelling
  • promote lymphatic drainage
  • regulate hormones
  • accelerate metabolism

Hydro Jet Massage Jacuzzi

Major benefits and power of a 76 jet hydro massage pool include:

  • Improved sleep - when you spend  time relaxing under the steamy water your body temperature slowly rises. Once you get out of the water and the air begins cooling down your body, your brain naturally signals that it’s time for sleep. The jets and heat will help release the tension in your muscles, allowing them to release. This reduces their demands on your energy stores throughout the night and helps your body fully rest as it recovers more effectively.

  • Reduce stress and anxiety- Stress and anxiety can wreak havoc on the body if left unmanaged for too long, significantly reducing the quality of your life.Submerging yourself in water provides a gentle compression around your entire body, this helps release feel-good endorphins that can calm your system and bring feelings of comfort and relaxation.

  • Better Circulation- As you relax under the warm water, your blood vessels will expand, making it easier for your blood to move through your body. This will help oxygenate your system more effectively and will allow the blood to move to the muscles that require it the most. Expanding your blood vessels also reduces the work your heart needs to do to pump your blood throughout your body, reducing the strain it’s usually under.

  • Lower blood pressure- The effects warm water has on the body have been the focus of many studies over the years. One that was completed in 2016 found that participants who bathed in warm water for extended periods of time experienced a drop in blood pressure. They also discovered participants had positive changes in their cardiovascular health as well. Essentially, this means when you spend time in a hot tub, your body experiences a reduction in bodily stress and your heart rate rises, making it stronger over time.

  • Detoxification- As the jets massage your muscles, they stimulate your lymphatic system, which is responsible for moving fluids through your body and flushing out toxins. The lymphatic system is only stimulated through movement. This makes hot tub use an ideal option for people with a more sedentary lifestyle, offering substantial support to their internal systems.
